Education Session: Fair Housing Feud

Join us for a fun and interactive game inspired fair housing education session.

Understanding the Fair Housing law is incredibly important for anyone who works in property management.  That is why we offer this training FREE to our members!

This Fair Housing training is good for owners, executives, supervisors, managers, assistant managers, leasing professionals, service technicians, and anyone else that interacts with residents. 

Although the basic principle of the Fair Housing Act remains the same, the guidance and interpretations of the Act are always evolving.  It is important for individuals that work in property management to stay current on the most recent fair housing issues so they know the best way to handle situations with residents, and prospective residents, to protect themselves and their company.  The consequences for not understanding fair housing can be costly. 

During this Fair Housing training we will...

• provide an overview of the federal Fair Housing Act as well as fair housing protections at the state and local level
• discuss accommodation and modification requirements, including the requirements for assistance animals & medical marijuana
• explain how policies and procedures may have a disparate impact and violate fair housing law

This training qualifies for 2 NAA Continuing Education Credits (CECs).

Register by April 9th: FREE for TAA Members / $50 for non-members

           After April 9th: $50 for members / $75 for non-members

CANCELLATION POLICY

While this education session is free for TAA members, if you cancel your registration after Friday, April 5th you will be charged a $50 cancellation fee. This applies to no-shows as well.  You are welcome to send someone to the education session in your place for no additional fee.  Please email Nicole at nkrouse@taaonline.org if someone is attending the education session in your place.
